Marrakesh Morocco

Belly dancers, slippery cobras, nor shopping were on our agenda as we grabbed our petit taxi zigzagging through the main roads on arrival of this famous city. We were adamant to stay away from most of these things, especially the latter and focus purely on our sights and sounds. One thing we didn’t realize is that shopping is really what defines Marrakesh. It’s quite the haven for shopaholics who can splurge on anything from fancy silver teapots to henna artists. In fact, those things draw both the tourists and the residents together at the heart of the city in the famous square. Families lazily stroll about enjoying the crowds and occasionally snagging a deal.

And finally, as dusk settles about you, the noise, the lights and people come alive and you cave in. You venture out and give a go at snagging a deal or two for yourself. Because when your in Marrakesh, you cannot resist the souks or the shopping.
